A common complaint of pregnant women is lower back pain. Of course this is often the result of the pregnancy itself due to the additional weight and/or redistribution of weight as the baby continues to grow. Many times the hip may already be or become out of alignment. If the atlas is in alignment, the hips should be in alignment which means the pelvis should be sitting in the correct position for the baby to grow and should maximize your comfort as a result. If a pregnant mothers’ body is out of alignment it could influence the position of the baby and leave less room for the baby to grow properly. If your body is in alignment you may also have an easier and shorter delivery.
